I sure hope AMA SBK racing is more exciting in '07.  It should be with Yamaha racing in SBK again, Honda getting another year to develop its bike, and MV racing stateside.  At least there'll be some more bikes to look at in the pits.

Yummy.  Good to have FBF back in the series, especially with the prettiest bikes on the planet.  I hope they're competitive, so they can show that other Italian manufacturer how it's done.  Now we just need to get Aprilia involved (although not till they get that V-4 finished up right).

Not trying to be combatitive, but why does that matter?

The "traction control system" is just a function of the data acquisition and engine management systems (with a few more sensors) already on the superbikes. Traction control didn't add significant costs for those teams with data aq systems.

Some poor guy binned his MV at a track day this summer and cracked the frame.  There were pictures of the crash on the Studio 819 website, but I can't remember what day it was or find the pictures to post a link.  I guess the guy was pretty unhappy.

I was leaving the Long Beach motorcycle show this weekend (Saturday) and rode next to a MV for a few miles down the freeway. Suh-weet!

All the best luck to them, but chalk this up as a learning year. Personally, I'd like to see Biaggi on one for the Italian connection, but I daresay his price tag will be a bit steep!

If it means an American rider doesn't get a ride, absolutely not.  Call me jingoistic, but I'm getting tired of seeing plumb rides here in AMA going to Australians and British riders when proven American racers are barely scraping by with little to no notice.  I'm still a little mad that Eraldo is using an unknown(here atleast) Italian on the team.  I'm sure it's MVs call, but with someone like Doug Chandler without a real ride, and has the desire to get back in superbike.  It just seems a waste.
