I'll be honest, my life has been forever changed by the folks and information I have obtained on this site.  The community here has been a big part of me since 2005.

Thank you for providing this to us and allowing us to be part of it.

I hope I'll be able to continue to interact with STNrs going forward with the new owner.  The friends I have met here are life long friends.

Who do I contact to have my account and all of its posts permanently deleted?  Or am I too late now that the virus owns the joint?

This post cracks me up because you stirred up shit when V2 started up.  I recall UFO even got sucked in to an argument with you.  It's kinda appropriate that you chose to post this; seems fitting, you know?  Asshole on the way in, asshole on the way out.  Lol

On a side note, it's also seems fitting that a dude with a screwed up name bought the place.  I mean, "Neal".  WTF NEIL?  Thats like "John's" that spell their name "Jon".  I don't trust that shit at all.  You hear me "DUANE"? Bigsmile

I am new to this community of motorcycle brothers, but I will say I love it. Bigsmile I have only been to one meet and it was the best gathering of moto people I have ever went to. Everybody was welcoming and had a passion for two wheel travel. I have not met the majority of posters but I know their names and love reading (most) what they write. ST.N is where I found info when I was looking for my next bike and I stayed because of the content and discussions that centered around motorcycles. I have become a more informed motorcyclist because of the community that you built and kept running. I truly wish to thank you skipper because I truly do enjoy this place.

Thanks again Skipper and good luck on your other works. I will be here enjoying what you have built, except for PO that place is F'n nuts.

Congrats on the sale. Well deserved.

Thanks for all the support I have had from the board members over the last 11+ years.  Helped my family and I through a lot of trying times.

And Yes, you will always be "The Skipper"  Bigsmile

Nothing ever stays the same - change is the only constant in the universe.

I like it here because I could be my normal bitchy real self... and nobody would notice... much.  Lol   Or they would be normal and bitchy right back.  Thumbsup I've met a lot of great people in Region 1 and hope to meet some of the characters in Region 4 and Region 6 - you know who you are.  Beerchug And that guy in Texas who owns a VFR as well.

Thanks Neal - This is a labor of love with all the attendant aggravations that 'geeks with bikes' can bring.  Inlove Many days it was simply hi-freakin'-larious and my 'reality TV'. My personal watershed moment was the guy who loved his chicken more than his girlfriend. Yeah... not about motorcycles, but community. We are a cranky lot but we can put that aside when someone falls on hard times. Well most of the time.  Sometimes we just call 'bullshit'.  Bigok

Thank you for creating STN. 'Someone will whine' has made it into my lexicon.

As for motorcycle.com....

I've been lurking since the "you post too much personal stuff" comment, not even logging in. But I had to this time just to congratulate you on the sale and wish you luck. I've learned a great deal here over the years, hope I've helped others, and made a few friends (I hope Smile ).

See you on the road some time.

So, will STN simply be merged into these forums with all of the past threads moved?

http://www.motorcycle.com/forum/

Will we keep our same user names and passwords or will we need to re-register?

For post ho members, will our post count be reset?

Finally, what will happen to the images uploaded to the member's Photo Gallery?

Thanks.

First and foremost thank you for your idea, your time and effort. I've not been here for 10 years but this site became a daily must do when I got home.

I had been on motorcycle.com, before it went commercial and enjoyed it very much. Not so much after the change. I certainly don't frequent the forum. We'll see, I'd hate to think that I'll have to go hunting for another hangout.

Thanks for everything Neal. This has been the only forum that I belonged to joining in 2005. Just recently, w/in the last year, I joined a few other forums just to check them out & none are as great as this place has been. I usually peruse the forum at least 3 times a day. This site has been very entertaining for me bringing me pleasure, knowledge & even a few friends. Good luck to you. We'll see you around. Cheers
