The basic problem of a KTM 450 adventure bike is that it could either be based on their 450 race bike, in which case it would be fast, light, fun, and require mind-boggling amounts of maintenance.
Or it could be based on their new 390 motor and be heavy, slow, and reliable (ish), at least as compared to the rally bike above.
If they go for the first route people would complain that they need team mechanics along on every ride. If they opt for the second, people would complain that it's a dog compared to their 450XC.
