Ok, first things first. I checked with The Skipper before placing this here and he said that once posted he would review it to see if it can stay here.

And on to the purpose of the posting. The intent of this game is to be an on going adventure played out by various STNers.  The basis of the game is to get ahold of Mr. Nutsy, take him around and show him people/places/things (documenting with pictures) and then hide him somewhere for the next rider to find.

No real rules to the game other that asking that you keep us all abreast of what is going on when you have the Nut so we do no think he has been abducted. The only guideline I would like to offer is this. If you go to get him and he is gone, post up. If no one speaks up within 48 hours, you get the honor of picking out a new nut to put into play.

Off we go;

I ran into Mr. Nut at a Fastenal store while getting things for a house project. While searching for the right bits for my project, I hear a voice from the serious hardware area. It was Nutsy asking to be rescued from his current incarceration and taken out into the world. I agreed!

He told me that he did not want to be mistaken for some run-of-the-mill Nut and as such wanted some identifying tats.
http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee34/02TAC/Stuff/DSCF0660.jpg

With that done, he suggested a good breakfast was in order before we went out to see somethings and place him for the next rider.
http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee34/02TAC/Stuff/DSCF0663.jpg

He also stated he wanted to take a look at  the site his exploits would be posted on be so;
http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee34/02TAC/Stuff/DSCF0662.jpg

With a good breakfast had and his approval of the site, it was off to show him some sights around my area.
http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee34/02TAC/Stuff/DSCF0661.jpg

More to follow.......

The plan was to stop by ILC - http://www.ilcdover.com/ - in hopes of checking out a space suit and then over to the Air Museum to look at the C-5 that has recently been put on display. Sadly, both locations were closed.

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee34/02TAC/Stuff/DSCF0664.jpg

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee34/02TAC/Stuff/DSCF0665.jpg

With those options out, Mr. Nut asked to check out the Delaware Bay so it was off to Woodland Beach.
http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee34/02TAC/Stuff/DSCF0667.jpg

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee34/02TAC/Stuff/DSCF0666.jpg

Heading North from Woodland Beach, we stopped to check out Taylor's Bridge School house.
http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee34/02TAC/Stuff/DSCF0668.jpg

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee34/02TAC/Stuff/DSCF0669.jpg

The next stop and the place Mr. Nut decided was where he wanted to await the next player was just a bit up the road (Rt 9 in Delaware) from the school.

http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee34/02TAC/Stuff/DSCF0670.jpg

If you walk toward the light house, going behind the building, you will be headed straight to where Nutsy is hanging out.

Come get him and continue his adventure.

Yea, not the best time for a drop, but then again it is Delaware and we frequently get decent riding days all year long.

I dropped a note in region 6, so hopefully we can get him moving south for the time being and maybe even west. Although, on another forum where a similar game is played, when the mascot went west it sat in San Diego for over 6 months before an easterner went and rescued it!

you will get more movement and wider coverage if you do away with the mascot and allow file tags.

mascots slow the game big time.

True, but the game is not about speed, we have the Wild Card game if you want that.  The mascot can make for some interesting "adventure" pics and if file photos are allowed then you just have another photo thread.

I've been itching to get out for a longer ride than my commute to work. So Nutsy gave me a good reason AND a destination! With bad weather coming to the Northeast yet AGAIN Sunday evening!  Thumbsdown Thumbsdown And a super busy day Saturday, I decided to grab a few hours Saturday early morning and shift my "stuff" to do in the house to Sunday.

So, I rolled the ol' workhorse Concours out of the garage.

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j258/ogzrtusk/Nusty/Nusty001.jpg

And as I'm gearing up and warming up the just under 1000cc's of 80's superbike power....  Rolleyes Lol

This starts to come down:
[URL=http://s82.photobucket.com/user/ogzrtusk/media/Nusty/Nusty002.jpg.html]
http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j258/ogzrtusk/Nusty/Nusty002.jpg

I don't care.. I'm rolling out anyway! Nusty Needs Me!!

I'm on a tight time schedule so I boogie up I-95 and (sigh) after about $18 in tolls I roll up to the spot!

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j258/ogzrtusk/Nusty/Nusty003.jpg

As I near Nutsy's spot I hear him yelling, "Who's there!?"
http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j258/ogzrtusk/Nusty/Nusty004.jpg

I introduce myself and tell him I'm with ST.N.

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j258/ogzrtusk/Nusty/Nusty005.jpg

He got so excited, he pops out and.....
http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j258/ogzrtusk/Nusty/Nusty007.jpg

Well, he had a little accident!

We got back over to the bike and Nutsy takes one last look around,

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j258/ogzrtusk/Nusty/Nusty008.jpg

and says "Let's get the Flock out of here!"

I tucked him in my map pouch and mounted up for the quick ride home.
http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j258/ogzrtusk/Nusty/Nusty009.jpg

The ride home was pretty quick and uneventful. The sun came out and wind picked up but I didn't have time to stop. When we got home, Nutsy saw my FJR (waiting for an inspection then tags) and jumped up and down on it saying "Let's take this one for a ride! Let's take this one! Can we? Huh?"

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j258/ogzrtusk/Nusty/Nusty010.jpg

Soon, Bud, soon.

A few months outside in the cold had Nutsy a little dirty.
http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j258/ogzrtusk/Nusty/Nusty013.jpg

So Nutsy got a First Class Spa treatment with a nice hot bubble bath.
http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j258/ogzrtusk/Nusty/Nusty014.jpg

Then I treated him to some Bling!

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j258/ogzrtusk/Nusty/Nusty016.jpg

He's hanging out now as I update his story.

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j258/ogzrtusk/Nusty/Nusty017.jpg

I'll take Nutsy around as I can. I'm not sure how long his stay should be. But I think he's gonna like it here for a bit.  Wink

No worries, this type of game is not the fast moving type. However, some pics of what you and Nutsy have been up to would be good. Provided they are decent that is!  Lol

Alright Fellas and Ladys! I still haven't gotten Nutsy out on a good scenic ride. But we've been busy! I got my FJR on the road and am de-farkling the Concours. Along with some maintenance prior to selling.

Nutsy "Why are you taking that apart?"

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j258/ogzrtusk/Nusty/041814003.jpg

I'm fixing it up to sell to a Sport-Touring rider who needs a bike!

Nutsy "Wow! Those were dirty! You cleaned them all up and replacing stuff!"

Nutsy "um.... what is it?

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j258/ogzrtusk/Nusty/041814004.jpg

These are the stock brakes from the Concours. I'm cleaning them and replacing the seals. One of the pistons had seized and it was time to freshen them up!

Nutsy (got bored) "Bet you can't find me!!!"

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j258/ogzrtusk/Nusty/041814005.jpg

Wrong.  Lol

So Nutsy tries out the other bikes in the garage.

Nutsy "Whoa! This one is wild looking! I like it. It's small and light like me!"

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j258/ogzrtusk/Nusty/041814006.jpg

Um Nutsy? You're a ..... nevermind.

After hopping on my Wife's Vulcan750.
Nutsy "Ooo. This is compfy. Let's go cruisin' for Bolts!!"

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j258/ogzrtusk/Nusty/041814007.jpg

Hey Now Nutsy! Watch it. ST.N is a family board!
Nutsy "Freak!"
What?
Nutsy "Nuthin!!"

Nutsy "This one sounds really awesome! Come on! I WANNA RIDE!"

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j258/ogzrtusk/Nusty/041814008.jpg

We will, we will. Soon! I gotta get the Concours cleaned up, back together and sold though.

To be continued.

02Tac - If I'm holding on to Nutsy too long, say the word and I'll make a dash out somewhere and drop him off as soon as I can.

I think we have come to that point.

Sometimes life gets in the way and we all realize that. But the game must move on after a while. Put it at the end of your driveway if necessary. I have seen similiar done when a tagger just couldnt get out on the road.

All drops/grabs of Nutsy are to be by motorcycle.

That would be considered stunting in some jurisdictions...  Bigsmile

Tis one of the problem with mascot games.  Time to move on.

When this has happened in other games the TAG reverts to a photo TAG only for the initial pickup. Then the person who make the grab gets to pick the next mascot. Or 02T could place another nut job.  I personally dont care as it is about the ride and not the object.

O2T....  Your move.

It is about the ride, but the object lends a certain something.

That said, if Tusk has not make the drop by Monday, it will reset to the light house on RT 9 the next person can provide a new Nut. I ask that it is kept a nut.

Apologies guys... Sad I was holding out for my big ride to Barber in a few weeks. Otherwise, I haven't been able to get out besides my daily commute.

Nutsy will get dropped off tomorrow. Promise. It will be in the Baltimore County area.  Cool

Nutsy has been deposited!

We started off at my work... a little after lunch.

Working on Saturday sucks so we took a ride west from Harford County to a spot called "Jerusalem Mill"

Can't stop you from doing it, but grabbing Nutsy and then flying him to Colorado kind of violates the spirit of the game. The intent if for him to get where he goes via a motorcycle. However, taking him with you, documenting the adventure and bringing him back with you would be cool. You could then drop him somewhere else around here, or anywhere you rode to from here, for the next person to grab.

So I was on a trip to upstate NY with my family and took the bike because I had a business meeting in Newark DE, and figured I would rescue and move Nutsy.
http://people.virginia.edu/~sdr2n/tags/nutsey/20140627_123148.jpg

He was waiting for me and ready to get back on the road.
http://people.virginia.edu/~sdr2n/tags/nutsey/20140627_123157.jpg

Off we went, but this trip resulted in 25k miles on the chain including 30 miles of dirt road in the pouring rain while zipping through the catskills on my way to Newark.  Had to tighten the chain twice on the way home from Newark
So Nutsy got to hang out in the garage while I changed out the chain and sprockets, here is the old stuff
http://people.virginia.edu/~sdr2n/tags/nutsey/20140628_183028.jpg

Nutsy was a big help, her he is checking out my work,
http://people.virginia.edu/~sdr2n/tags/nutsey/20140628_183103.jpg

He even helped installing the new chain, that guy can apply the torque

He made a couple of friends in the garage,
http://people.virginia.edu/~sdr2n/tags/nutsey/20140629_123732.jpg

And found that he really fits in in VA
http://people.virginia.edu/~sdr2n/tags/nutsey/20140628_182745.jpg

But everything comes to an end so I set off to find him a new home until someone else comes along to move him.  I picked the northern most entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway
http://people.virginia.edu/~sdr2n/tags/nutsey/20140629_153029.jpg

He is under this piece of granite
http://people.virginia.edu/~sdr2n/tags/nutsey/20140629_153112.jpg

Located here relative to the entrance sign
http://people.virginia.edu/~sdr2n/tags/nutsey/20140629_153124.jpg

If you’re coming in to get him drop me a line, there are a ton of local brewery’s in the area and I’ll meet you for A beer if there is time.

I think it's because we're all so spread out.  It's really rare that any of us are riding the same roads at any given period of time.

Possibly, but having lived in Craplafornia for eight years and know the great riding weather, I was very surprised when a tag mascot (different forum) went to San Diego and sat for almost a year before an east coaster road out and rescued it.

I'm taking turkey day week off.  I might have to detour a little bit and see if Nutzy is still around.  If so, he might be going to a historical place.  Maybe the one where I got a federal speeding ticket.

Yeah, poor thing.

I need to plan a ride up that way and see if I can pick him up.   Bigok  If anything, perhaps Nutsy will still be there during the EST N/O meet in nearby Roanoke in August and someone can make picking it up as part of their plan.
