All the reviews I've seen and read seem to give this bike high praise.  I'm seriously considering this bike, and it would be my first Triumph.  I'm getting up there in years, so comfort is definitely a must.  Though I don't think I'm quite ready for a Gold Wing just yet.  The SE's electronic suspension adjustment, cruise control, integrated Bluetooth and sat radio are pluses in my book.  Yeah, it's not cheap, but in line with the BMW K1600GT and R1200RT pricing.

I've had mine two months now. It's a very nice ride. Comfortable, great wind protection, the engine is fantastic, lots of nice features. I'm 6'3" and got the tall seat.
You can read the complaints here, but not to many, and not to bad.

I test rode one for about an hour.  It's a big bike that made my Sprint look small, but it handled really well, felt well balanced and had more than enough power to put a grin on my face!   Bigsmile  If I wanted a big bike, that would be at the top of my list.

I have been following that website for since I met Canucks_Fan at a dealer open house exactly one year ago.  He had just picked up his Trophy and had ridden it 9 miles.  Unfortunately, he didn't make it through the weekend before he needed a tow truck to take it back to the dealer.  It spent most of the next 6 weeks there waiting for one part after another and the last I heard it had gone back to the dealer 21 times, mostly for never ending electrical, sensor, and software problems.  The lack of parts availability was appalling.  At one time Triumph shipped 25 sets of complete forks to the US because replacement fork seals would not be available for months.  While some owners were extremely frustrated by Triumph's inability to fix their (lemon) bikes, other owners were enjoying trouble free bikes.  Everyone, even those with the lemon bikes, had high praise for the Trophy when they were able to ride it.

Sounds like a great bike when everything works, do you feel lucky?

I bought one, it's fantastic.  I've read of only a few people who test ride and end up on something else.  I wanted power, comfort, and all the features, and it delivers.  The torque curve on the motor is almost flat across the whole range.  Non-owners call it heavy and big, but it is tuned so well that it feels a lot lighter than it is.

Be aware, the bike did have a few teething pains, but it seems all have been addressed at this point.  I need to get mine in for the recalls.  With a two year unlimited mileage warranty, it shouldn't be a big deal.

Got to actually sit on one today with the wife on back. We were both comfortable enough, and the high pegs some have mentioned weren't an issue, even with the low seat. I'm 6'1" with a 33" inseam and there's plenty of room. I haven't been able to test ride one yet, but I'm curious about the ride-by-wire throttle. Is there any vagueness or lag in throttle response with this bike? If so, does it require any change in riding style?

I saw one the other day and it's HUGE but beautiful.  I'd take one over an RT anyday.

I like everything about the Trophy SE, except the weight.  After the C14, I am very hesitant to get back to another 700+lbs ST.

If it weighs the same as the RT, it would climb very fast to near the top of my list.

I only sat on it.  That was enough to let me know that I would greatly prefer the BMW R1200RT.

I bought one in May of this year.  traded in My 1200RT because it had a broken drive shaft and I was on a trip.   The SE is a little heavier that the 1200Rt, but about the same as my 1100RT.
I now have 7900 miles on it.   It did have a leaking fork seal at 2000 miles and it was repaired by a dealer.  I was still on the trip.
It handles well. really good mileage, very comfortable and the motor is really good.

I like it.
