http://wilbersusa.com/wilbers/
A guy on the GPZlist set this up, and I got Klaus to agree to include any bike. So if you want in, let me know and/or call Wilbers, order, and tell him you're part of the GPZlist/Sport-touring/ZZRBikes group buy.

I have Klaus' permission to open it to all makes/models of bikes. I'll be posting group buy threads at ZZRbikes also. Get in on it now and save a bunch of dough! Order by 12/28; prices go up next year.

From Klaus:

"With the variety of Sport Touring Bikes, it does not make sense to restrict it to Japanese only, so I will open it to all bikes. I will also grant a 15% discount on all items to make it easier on all of us.
The standard retail prices are as follows (group buy prices = retail minus 15%), and they do apply to all bikes.

Model 640 - emulsion type shock with adjustable rebound damping (22 clicks) and threaded pre-load = $ 516.00 (About $438 group buy)
Model 641 - reservoir shock (hose mounted reservoir) with high and low speed compression damping (22 clicks each), rebound damping (22 clicks) and threaded pre-load = $ 798.00 (about $678 group buy)
Model 642 - piggy back reservoir shock, adjustments as model 641 = $ 798.00 (this shock may not fit every bike)

Twin shocks are available, please contact us for details.

Each shock can be ordered in SPORTSLINE = blue spring with red and blue
bezels on the damping adjuster, or CLASSIC = black spring and all else is
silver anodized

Each bike can be lowered permanently with shorter shocks by approx. 1/2", 1", 1.5" or 2" at no extra cost. Not all bikes can be lowered by 2"

Two options are available for each shock:
# 629 = variable ride height adjuster for +/- 5 mm on the shock = approx.
+/- 1/2" seat height = $ 68.00. The option is recommended for standard
length shocks only because it will take away from the available suspension
travel.

# 625 = remote hydraulic pre-load adjuster - recommended for quick
adjustments when the passenger gets on board or when loaded with luggage = $
211.00 (about $180 group buy)

S&H charges within the 48 US states = $ 20.00
Other US states and Canada = $ 35.00
Overseas to be quoted separately.

For the order we need: Rider weight with gear, Passenger weight, Luggage
weight, Riding style, Seat height, Spring color

Payment by check or credit card (PayPal for overseas). We charge $ 100.00 non refundable deposit at time of order and the balance the day we ship it out.

The customer will receive an order confirmation to be checked and corrected if necessary on the day of the order and a shipping confirmation when we ship it out.

Some generic pictures are attached to show different models and options.

Regards
Klaus Huenecke"

So I guess you made a decision on what shock to get for your bike 1KPerDay.
Sounds like a really good buy, too bad Christmas gifts and the mortgage come first this month, could use a new hock for the ZX11c

Yep... at this price I may get one for the KLR too. I'm getting some for the R90/6. Gonna be a big bill. Crazy

I missed out on the XX forum Wilburs group buy so I think I may order up either a 640 or 641.  Not sure what to do about shaft length though. Headscratch

Call Klaus... I don't know what that means either. I'm just going to tell him "stock length."

I just ordered a Model 640 with height adjustment for my DL-1000 so I owe a thanks to someone for setting up this group buy.

I already have a Wilbers on my FJR1300 and the only complaints I have ever heard about Wilbers are from those who got too light of shock spring and couldn't carry a lot of extra weight (which can be easily fixed but you have to send the shock back to them).  Don't be modest about your weight and your gear's weight, you want to get a spring that is large enough that you do not need any preload when riding solo.

Good advice.  Thumbsup

I made the mistake of erring on the side of obesity for the Works shocks I ordered for my H-D... the bike felt much better with a passenger aboard than it did solo.Lol

Just called Wilbers and ordered the 640 model shock with 625 remote preload option. Smile

From the guys at STN, GPZlist, and ZZRbikes it looks like we have enough buyers to get the 15% discount, so buy now if you want to save some green. I saved enough to almost pay for a superbrace.  Cool

Thanks for putting this together. My old VFR has been crying out for a quality shock...probably since it was a few months old.  Lol

I'm getting a 641 with remote preload. Merry Xmas to me.   Cool
