I still think that test ride thing is an excuse for the mechanics to ride your bike screw up the most important part of the break in.

Let the fun begin.  If you pay me well enough, I can come out and ride wheelies on it so that you can see how cool it would look if you rode wheelies on it.  Just trying to help.

Yup. That's what I paid for my 950 SM-R in 2007 (winter). But mine had 250 miles on it and was classified as a "demo" or something. Congrats. They are really fun bikes and the newer 990s are noticably sportier than my 950 (faster, sharper handling).

2012, I have some pipes coming today and would prefer to break it in with them on there for less heat build up and also a better first impression.  It's still cold here anyway and it's fun having a 0 miles bike in the garage for a few days.

Do yourself a favor and get some aftermarket cans on that thing.  I love the raspy sound of the LC8.   Inlove
