And when we got home I accidentally scored this on eBay...previously ridden by Chris Fillmore when HMC was transitioning to roadracing from Supermoto.

C'mon, I know there's more KTM's here.  They're flying off the floor at the local dealer.

Still packed and ready after camping in WV this past weekend.

Here's some orange love we found in Ecuador last month.

This guy was riding his 690 from Cali all around South America.http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d74/vafireman21/Mobile%20Uploads/2015-05/61B3D53C-2BC0-4375-9D92-7B638B8ACF7F_zpsf3qi6ehv.jpg

The price of an orange ride in USD... The Adventure 1190 was about $30k USD.http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d74/vafireman21/Mobile%20Uploads/2015-05/CE15F7C5-53D0-4DF2-BEDC-878258E955E5_zpspqlh6ks7.jpg

Well...

I had to emulate Hotbrakes. His 'n' hers KTMs in the house. (Someone save me from replacing my MTS1200 with a ADV1190, right? This is the RIGHT place to ask that. I'm in REAL trouble if the SD1290 GT appears as promised...)

But. On to the pictures. Smile

390 Racer!!!    Bigok

C'mon, that's just cool.  Cool  Although Expat, you're too damn tall for that bike.  She won't have to worry about you taking it out on weekends.   Lol

How does she like it?  They didn't sit in the dealership long enough for us to even have a chance at picking one up.

Loves it! Light, zippy, and just all around fun. Unsurprisingly, it turns incredibly quickly. Surprisingly peaky, but it is a really over square single. Pretty comfy, though the rear is apparently soft (progressive) even for a 120lb rider.

There's been so irritating QC issues (blinker stopped working, battery cover latch is sticking)  that may be new model, may be manufacturing quality.

I can at least ride it, unlike the Duke 390.
(Interestingly, a friend with a 'few' exotic bikes, including a Tesi 1D, D16RR, RC45, RC30, Mito 125, etc just posted on Facecrack that his new Duke 390 is his current favourite canyon carver).

It is a bit small for me, as a true lanky git.

Here is my RC8R roadside during a Mtn ride yesterday in the 77deg beautiful weather:

Very comfortable sport bike stock, but even more so now. I have Apex 4" risers so lots of room and pretty upright when I want to be. I still have them in tucked clip-on position, but they swivel out to an almost superduke like position too. Also have the higher Puig windscreen (not sure I like the looks as it ruins the angular look, but it is higher than stock).

Have the Ventura luggage rack too for the bike too, just need to develop a reason to use it. Lol

I have to admit going back and looking at these pics from time to time. Love that bike.
