Pretty much the same can be said for all water cooled naked bikes IMO. At least the Monster has a 20 year(!) pedigree so the looks of the new ones have a reference for their development lineage.

Personally, I don't like the look of the trellis "section" of the frameless design Ducati's been using the last number of years. The real trellis frames looked much better for naked bikes IMO.

They're a riot.  I prefer my Hypermotard, but Monsters are a lot of fun.  Haven't tried the 821 yet.
