Tuesday, I rode the 450L trying to follow the Choctaw Adventure Trail in Oklahoma. I found a bunch of gates blocking the route but still got in 140 miles.

Saturday, I rode the 450L in the forest roads of southeastern Oklahoma and got in another 140 miles.

Sunday, I did a late afternoon street ride on the FJ-09 around the area lakes here in northeastern Oklahoma. I got in 130 miles.

One of the guys riding with us Sunday was on a new Ducati Multi Strada. At one point, he went flying by us. I kicked the FJ-09 up a bit too. When we stopped, I asked what speed he hit. He said, "146mph." I responded with, "Damn, I only got 108!"

On the way home after we split up, he got pulled over for going 90 in a 65. They gave him a break and wrote it down to 75.

It's not the fall that hurts, it's when you hit the ground.

I ran into Biking Sailor today at Pops on Route 66. We talked for probably an hour, and I finally got to meet Mrs. Sailor. It was a pleasant surprise.

I got in 210 miles on the FJ-09.

So, what you’re saying is that you had fun with a couple of sailors?  Razz

That's not exactly how I would have described it, but it was nice seeing Jay and getting to visit with him on that chance meeting.

Made our day of riding around central Oklahoma backroads on a beautiful late winter day even better.

I got in about 180 miles today on the FJ-09. The weather was beautiful. We rode across Ft. Gibson Dam, Hwy. 80, Hwy. 10 along the Illinois River, then old 412 back to Tulsa. About 40 miles from the end, one of our guys got a hose leak and lost all his coolant. He had to call his wife to come get him.

That's a nice route. Especially if traffic is light.

Going on my first multi-day ride of the year with a couple friends. Leaving this morning from central Oklahoma, riding up through NE Oklahoma, SW Missouri, then down into NW Arkansas. Spending the night in Harrison. Thursday riding a very non-direct route down to Hot Springs, taking several of the twisty roads on the "Jasper Disaster" and "Arkansas Dragon" routes before following HYW 7 on South. Friday heading home through the Talimena Skyline Drive and SE Oklahoma backroads.
All 3 days will have 7 to 8 hours riding time each, with a lot of curves and hills.

Jay, want to meet up and break in that new Honda right?  We'll be riding OK 20 through Salina and Jay, over to Noel, riding MO 90 to Washburn, before heading back down into Eureka Spring.

Next month we are heading to Colorado for a week of riding. Hoping we aren't getting there too early for the high passes to be clear of snow and ice.
