We have all heard of the folks from region four. Are they all cat killers? Do they all ride FJRs with brazzillions of miles on them? Are they all hot red headed musicians?

I haven't got a clue!

BUT if you tentatively want to have breakfast with and welcome Stripes to New England (even though he seems to slip in and out of the area all the time without even a hello, the bastard)

how about.......Carl's Oxford Diner, birthplace of cholesterol!

Monday 9/24 somewhere in the neighborhood of 8 - 9ish. We can work that out as we get closer.

Stay tuned.................

Lol The plan at the moment is to show up in the RI/CT area Friday evening or sometime on Saturday & hang out & ride w/ RIDUX & spend 2 nights in CT & meet for breakfast in MA on Monday morning & either hang out & ride there for the day & stay Monday night in MA or head back to MI after breakfast. The only slight complication to that plan is whether or not I'll have the GT back from the dealer in time to make the trip. I recently had the waterpump replaced under warranty due to leakage from the factory, but it seems to be leaking again so I'm going to try to take it to the dealer tomorrow afternoon or Tuesday at the latest. I should have it back rather quickly depending on parts & the service departments willingness to get in done in a timely fashion. I'll be pissed if I miss a breakfast event in my honor!

I called the dealer today... The soonest they can look at my bike is Wednesday afternoon. I asked them if they ordered the parts today if they would have the parts by Wednesday. They said they couldn't order parts until they had the bike & could diagnose it in person. I told them it was doing the same exact thing as the last time, spraying antifreeze on my right side exhaust, leaking out of the bottom of the water pump & the reservoir was low. They responded w/ they still have to look at it before ordering any parts but they should be able to have the parts in 1 or 2 days from then. So hopefully they'll have it back together on Friday so I can head out Friday evening or 1st thing Saturday morning. I'll keep my fingers crossed & ask ConPilot1 to pray for me!!!  Lol Just kidding about that last comment! Cheers

Alright... I dropped my GT off at the dealer this afternoon & by the time I left at 5:00pm it was still in the same spot where I parked it. They were short handed or something today so they weren't going to be able to get to it today but were hoping to check it out tomorrow. They said they were hoping it wouldn't take long... They gave me another loaner to use while they have my GT & I asked them not to give me another POS R1200R so they gave me this instead:

It's actually pretty bad ass! Lightwight & peppy! Nice exhaust note too. It was a blast through the twisties but not so fun at 85mph on I-94, but I don't think that it was intended for that! With that being said, it is definitely not a machine that I would ride out to New England. So it's not looking good at this moment for me to be able to make it out this weekend... We'll see what happens. Cheers

Alright... Bad news. It is w/ deepest regret that I have to inform you Region 6ers that due to unfortunate & unforeseen circumstances, I will not be able to make it to breakfast. The dealer will have my GT for at least 2 weeks if not 3. The waterpump is replaced & doing fine, but there is some electrical issues that were discovered during the BMW software updates & they won't have the parts from Germany for 2-3 weeks. I definitely would like to say that I am just postponing this adventure/meeting for the meantime & would like to take a raincheck for hopefully sometime before the snow flies. Best wishes to all. Cheers

I know I know but there's no way I could ride the F800R or my Duc straight through to New England. If I didn't have a time restriction I would most definitely ride one of those bikes out. Hell, if I had the Norton back & lots of time I would even ride that! Why do you always gots to fuck w/ me mxvet?!  Lol

Had to re-read that.

At first I though it read "...It's his in-breeding..." and I was going to raise a protest...

But now I see that it isn't his in-breeding at all....and I don't have to call for you to apologize to one of R4's freindliest and most prolific riders....
