Looks like it could be the successor to the KTM Super Enduro (and that's a good thing). It will be awesome if they can legitimately deliver it under 475 pounds wet.

I don't know. Maybe I'm stuck in the old days. I could never call a 440lb bike a dirt bike. Look at the tires. Can you even imagine running a single track even at a slow pace on one of these?
Adventure bike or enduro bike, OK.

I'm surprised this took until 2016. The africa twin seems big in adv circles and with all the other manufacturers contributing their versions you would have thought they would have resurrected this instead of giving us the nc700x.

They're not even out yet and already leaking?
Thanks, Honda.

Adventure bike or enduro bike, OK.
Says the guy with the 531 pound sport bike.
Adventure bikes aren't trying to be dirt bikes anymore than a ZX-14 is trying to be sport bike. You most likely got your bike over a 600 because it's more comfortable to travel longer distances better. And, while the big ZX isn't going to be the quickest around a road course on a track day, you could still take it and have a lot of fun with it.
I wouldn't try to take a large adventure bike places I would a 450 dirt bike. But, I can also easily travel across country, take on dirt much better than any other touring bike, and still have fun on a track day.
Horses for courses. No one bike does everything well.

I think he was referring to this quote from the article:
perhaps the first bike to genuinely live up to the adventure motorcycle’s potential. Big dirt bike? Yep, and not much more.

I was told the local shop won't be ordering any unless paid for in advance.

I suspect to see the same thing here is SW Florida. It simply won't sell here, no market, same with the Yamaha super Tenere....... local dealers don't stock them either.

Head over to ADV rider and fasten your seat belt. There is also a thread there started by folks who actually own the bike and have ridden it instead of the usual armchair specification actualization experts. ASAE for future reference.

And a bunch of these all over the net
