OK I know its cold,snowing and generally winter blowing,but oh sages of the Denny's beer barrel pub rides,shall there be a meet and eat in 2009? what say ye. and who's the volunteer organizer? couch

2009 will be the fourth year for the Region 6 "Meet (Meat?) and Eat". It's been at Denny's Beer Barrel Pub in Clearfield, PA (north central, along I-80) each year so far. Denny's is the home of the Worlds Largest Hamburger at 123 lbs. The first two years had great weather (in April) and very good attendance. Last year it rained really hard on the morning of and most of the Pittsburgh area contingent stayed home and dry. But the folks that made a weekend of it had a great day of riding on Saturday. We've had a group travel from **Chicago** every year so far. Hard core riders for sure...

If you do a search I'm sure you can find some trip reports from the previous years including pictures of the 9 lb "Ye Olde 96er" and 15 lb "Belly Buster" that groups/teams have tackled.

Well since the thread is started, does anyone have a preference between April 26th and May 3? Note that May 10th is Mothers Day.

EDIT: Perhaps scheduling for April 26th with May 3rd as a backup/rainout date in the event the weather looks truly sucky for the 26th?????
