Went to Ephrata, then met some of the DEL and the philly crew in DEL for lunch.

No crashes, lots of miles and smiles.

It was an awesome ride. Thanks guys for letting me tag along. My ride went from great to not so great when I got pulled over near the Turnpike exit at Denver. There were damn slow cars in the wrong lane a few miles earleir and I blew around them out of frustration and just wanting to get home. I still don't know where the State Cop was sitting but he clocked me at 93mph

Gave me a break (sort of) and wrote me up for 80 in a 65. 3 points. I don't think I can contest it. He nailed me fair and square and I was not in any traffic. The irony is this was the best ride I was ever on, took my riding skills to the limit all day long then get nailed near home all by myself just trying to get around slow pokes. Sux. I'm going to have to slow'er down a bit. It's a long riding season and takes 1 year to drop 2 of the 3 points. So then I get home and no one is here..so I go back out and put another 90 miles to make it a hair over 400 miles on the day.  Smile

Jere - Hope you can make the next ride. It was truly a blast...

Wow, Jack, that really sucks!!  Sad I thought we were nailed on 283 as well, I guess I saw him in time. Maybe if you had left the bags on.... Wink

I'm glad you had a good time, it was good to see you come out unscathed on some of those roads. It was testing the limits on my trashed, crap, stock Bridgestones too. Can't wait for the Michelins. See you guys on the road.

Holy crap that sucks about your ticket, Jack!   EEK! Crazy  And we were just talking about big tickets over lunch, maybe you forgot to knock on wood then.  If the points bother you, it wouldn't hurt to call the officer and see if he would help you in court.

I'm glad you had fun and like Smoker said, I'm glad you made it through some of those tight tricky roads.

That LEO on 283 was pointing his gun down the other side of the highway - I don't even think he saw us.  Wink

I was at the AmLegion around 0800 and was out by 1000.  Didn't happen to see any STNers that I recognized.  Looks like some of you had a nice long ride; sweeeet.  Thumbsup

I rolled in around 9:15 after a nice ride up 897 and a few other roads that are only signifigant because the get me to 897. I ran in to Chris and Mike briefly before I ducked in to the legion hall to grab some breakfast.

I recognized this bike from the DE Photo Tag...

It was parked next to another ST.Ners well farkled ride...

There are more pics of bikes that I found interesting for one reason or another here.

You have a picture of Xodus' 919 and my stratoliner.  I really need to wash that bike sometime.  If you got there at 9:15 you surely were just behind us or just in front of us for the 897 run.  Perhaps we will meet up next month.

If we weren't meeting in DEL for lunch, my plan had been to either head West out 23 and then find some scenic roads South, or to head East and come down 282 & 82, all the way to DEL.

Rince - I did knock on the table! I know I did! I don't think I'll get anywhere with the cop. I asked for a warning since I haven't had a citation in like 15 years but he told me he had to cite me..93 he kept saying, you were doing 93...I'll knock it down but I need to cite you he said. I'm hosed.

Smoke, you may be right. Bags may have slowed me down 1/32 of a mph. They sure didn't slow you down, dude... Bigsmile

Oh well. Is what it is...

Too bad we didn't get to do Rt 125 or Goldmine Road this time, particularly for Punchdude.  Maybe next time!

For Smoker, you asked me what the Goldmine hook-up was off of Rt 125 - it is to skip Tremont and the fast-run straight-away of Rt 125 and instead going through the west side of Joliet.

If you go through the East side of Jolliet you can hook-up with Molleystown Road, which also skips over going through Tremont on 125.  Molleystown is a fun back-road, and leads to Ravine, right by the Rt 81 entrance that is just above Pine Grove.

Ahhh, yes, I've been on Molleystown Rd., but never Goldmine Rd. I'll have to try that next time I'm up there. Thanks, man.
