I am at the lake up north in Michigan.  I have the chance to ride my father in-law's Suzuki C-90t cruiser bike home. Do I ride it, sandels and all?

At least dig up some old work boots, jeans, work gloves, and find a jacket of some sort. Too many deer up there to do otherwise.

Just man up and take the sunburn route.   Bigsmile. I rode home the other day NOTGATT but with mandatory helmet.  I'd have lost 10 pounds on that commute day in the 'stich.   Crazy

Ride it home to keep?   Bigsmile  I'd seriously consider it.

Otherwise at most I'd ride it around the block and no further.

My eyes!  AhhhhhHH!  Where's the eye bleach???   Twofinger  Lol  Have fun?  Test out the top speed on that thing?

I had the GS out on this smooth, straight country road yesterday that went on for miles with great sight lines.  WTF, let's wind it up and see how fast it goes.   Squid  Broke 105, barely.  *sigh*  I miss the Daytona and third gear.

Yes, but I'd hit a Walmart and get some cheap sneakers or boots, just so you don't end up with the skin missing from the top of your foot from the shifter.

+1

Riding in sandals would drive me crazy more than anything.

As long as I had a helmet and could find a decent pair of shoes I'd probably do it.

With practice you can line up the strap just behind your toes with the shifter, every time, by feel.  Razz

I have an old XS400 that I use to run to the store, 4 blocks away residential streets. I've run over there in my birkenstocks a number of times.
