We are headed to the Finger Lakes Wine Festival in July. Any suggestions for must ride roads or good routes between Meadville PA and Watkins Glen, NY?

322 to Corsica, 949 to Ridgway, 120 to Lock Haven,
664 to 414 to Morris, 287 to Wellsboro, 15 to Corning,
414 to Watkins Glen.

Don't forget to stop at the Gorge.

Thanks for the suggestions, the routes suggested look very interesting. Unfortunately for this trip, we'll be on a schedule as we’re meeting people at Watkins Glen. We need to make the trip in one day. From Meadville PA on, I’m leaning toward  Rt 77, 6, 59, 446, 417, 414. Any feedback on this route?

Meh. Most of the landscape north of 6 is rolling farmland
punctuated with small towns.
I not being facetious when I say I'd take the car.

Not an expert in the area but I have been spending more and more time riding in NY.  I live near Gettysburg and I frequently ride to Corning to eat at my favorite Indian lunch buffet.  If you have time after can I suggest a visit to the Glen Curtiss aircraft/motorcycle  museum outside Hammondsport, NY. If you want to visit a great small town and spend the night Keuka Lakeside Inn Hammondsport  is right on the water and a short walk to the town dock swimming pier.  Walk a few blocks into town for dinner and breakfast and experience what laid back is.  I can spend a day there and feel like I went on vacation.

SLK50's route is nice. Here is a similar option (120 is the main east/west route):

27, 36 to Tionesta
666 (Devil's Highway) and 948 to Ridgeway
120 thru St Marys and Emporium to (almost) Renovo
144 north to Galeton
6 east toward Wellsboro
287 to 15
You're on your own in NY

Google Maps claims it is 300 miles, so that's a nice day ride.

The only real "must ride" road in the area is Wyckoff Run Rd. It connects 120 (Sinnemahoning) to the Quehanna Hwy. 10 miles of great twisties. Ride it out and back (on the way there AND on the way home). One of the best sections of road in the state IMO.

+1. I would stay in the forests of northern PA as much as possible.

i rode Wyckoff Run Road two weeks ago, and not the first time.  it doesn't get old.  if it was 30 miles instead of 11 it'd be an epic road.  stop at the bar across from the steel bridge and check out the rattle snakes  Bigsmile

Well we're riding this Friday and will likely stick to the route suggestion Garry posted, thanks to all for the suggestions. If you're out and about, keep your eyes open for a grey and black CBR600 F4i and a black Multistrada.
